Newark Futures:



The task was to ideate in creating a “toolkit” to help facilitate and document the community dialogues.

Worked collaboratively to establish a visual identity that represents the values and mission of the larger project, and that will speak to and engage Newarkers. The visual identity created would establish a visual language that would tie all the toolkit components together with each other.






Brand/Toolkit Rationale: 
This concept which I collaborated on focused on the city itself as the inspiration for the logo. Depending on its use, the logo suggests Newark- abstract “N” and city/buildings - and the focus on community-dialogues as driving the development of potential paths towards racial reparations for them. Key concepts emphasized were: community, conversation, the city itself (abstract “N”), and call to action. Brand personality was: trustworthy, dependable, and welcoming. 





Brand/Toolkit Application:
This was to support deep/rich dialogue among community groups, and facilitate way to articulate positive, nuanced visions for their neighborhood/city, as well as offer approaches to collect their isnight/ contributions for possible future implementation.
